Just so I'm clear on the Short People Got No Reason rule, because honestly, I'm still a bit in the dark about it -

on the Rx Bandits release The Resignation, some of the members appear by their full/first names:

Does this mean they should be changed to their full first names? Or not because they only appear by them on one release?

someone clear this up because I'm not quite sure I understand it.

If this is the case, I'd like to know so I can change the names in my queue because I have the Sound of Animals Fighting in and this band has Rx Bandits members.

I fixed that album and all the related names in the database to make more sense.

Basically, the default name we use in the database can be a nickname of a long "real" name as long as the person was credited that way on every release in the database. Once there is an inconsistency, we default to First Last (unless, for example, the middle name is always used).

Bill Ward is always credited as Bill Ward, so the default we use is Bill Ward.

Wilhelm Liesegang has been credited as Bill Liesegang and Billy Liesegang. Because of the inconsistent use of his nickname, we default to Wilhelm and alias Bill or Billy as necessary.

Steve Borth appears as Steven Jess Borth II on one album but Steve Borth on all others. Because of the inconsistent use of Jess and II, we drop those from the default, and because of the inconsistent use of the first name, we default to Steven.

Steven Borth||Steven Jess Borth II
or
Steven Borth||Steve Borth

I get it now. Thanks for explaining that further and fixing the RxB names.
