Chubby Checker & The Masks. That's the first release by 'The Masks' but they have released as 'De Maskers' in their own country.

So is it right that:
1) De Maskers = The Masks
2) Therefore the German version is irrelevant
3) Even if it wasn't irrelevant, they'd be deemed to have a previous release so it's a collab

I think so. I assume we're talking about the "Baby, Baby ..." / "My Little Girl" single. The analysis could have been different if the only version of this single were the Checker / Masks version. In the case of a parallel release (like this), the homeland name basically erases the existence of the other-market name.
