[x] Collab With Connectivity question

James Plotkin and KK Null released a collab album in (i think) 1993, recorded in Jan 1993.
James Plotkin released a solo 7" (Swimming Against) in 1994, recorded in 1992.
when deciding if the Null collab has connectivity or not, do we decide a prior solo release looking at release date or recording date? i'm guessing release date but just want confirmation...
