i'm also taken aback a little by the statement "Heaven And Hell, considered by many fans as one of the greatest heavy rock LPs of all time." i really haven't given any time to post-1975 Sabbath but maybe i should check this one out...

Heaven & Hell is my preferred Black Sabbath album but for me, it's his work with Rainbow that stands testimony to a man who had the archetypal hard rock voice and there he had the material it deserved. There are mystical dragons and mediæval castles and rainbows in that voice as soon as he lets loose. Appropriately, my favourite track is 'Long Live Rock 'n' Roll'; his contribution surely will.
