The IBM Philharmonic Computer

Sometime after discovering Audiosurf, I recalled my family's 1st PC had some music-oriented programs, but I couldn't remember what they were like. But I need not wonder any longer. After just a quick dust off, we switched on our old 1986 PC (we've had it since I was 2), and both it and the original monitor seem to be working just fine!

The music programs were pre-programmed tunes written in BASIC. Although they nickname it The IBM Philharmonic Computer, our PC is a Super Star XT-6, a Taiwanese clone of the IBM XT. I recorded this video of it playing one of the tunes. You could say it's a bit of a predecessor to SingStar:
