This sucks. Dude was a great drummer and excellent songwriter.

That link now has updates saying this is a hoax. Let's hope so.

I hope it's a hoax! Chuck is/was my favorite drummer and I was lucky enough to see him in '94 when he was still with Danzig. I was just wondering this morning what he was up to. Chuck was incredibly productive for about twenty years and then just sort of disappeared:

Where does the info that he played on the Run-DMC album come from?

About 10-12 years ago there was very briefly an official (or official-looking) Chuck Biscuits web site that consisted of a table of scans of all of the albums on which he played drums, and it included Tougher Than Leather. I am pretty sure that I asked Eerie Von or John Christ, Chuck's former Danzig bandmates, if it was correct. Rick Rubin produced the first Danzig album and Tougher Than Leather, both in 1988. Similarly, Kerry King of Slayer appeared on a Beastie Boys album in 1986, when Rubin produced albums by both bands. So it seemed reasonable to me.
