Okay, so lately I've been getting into a lot of older emo/screamo bands, and per a friend's request, one of the bands he suggested to me was Amber Inn. He was pretty excited when I mentioned that I worked with you at this website once he told me Amber Inn (doesn't know you, just is a fan). I have to say though, I heard some of the stuff from All The Roads Still Leave Home and I really dug it.
So, that said, since you seem to be the expert in that area around here, can you perhaps recommend me some other stuff I haven't heard? Bands I've gotten into and are looking for more of these styles: Gray Matter, Soul Side, Ignition, Moss Icon, Native Nod, 1.6 Band. That's about it... I had already listened to Rites of Spring and Embrace and of course, Fugazi. I keep hearing Current as a band I should check out but haven't been able to find anything of theirs.
So, maybe you can recommend me some more bands. I've been using fourfa.com as a source but there's so many bands, it's hard to know where to start, so I've just been going with recommendations from friends I know that like this style. Anything you suggest I'll look into... thanks in advance.

Hey, thanks. I'll work on coming up with a good list for you when i have a little bit more time. Definitely check out Current, though. They were one of my favorites from that time period, and we played with them a bunch on a few different tours.

Scott, did you ever come up with a list? Here's some other stuff I've gotten into since I made this post:
Shotmaker
Julia
Hoover
Floodgate
Sleepytime Trio
Indian Summer
and I finally checked out Current, great band.
Again let me know if there's anything else I should check out.

I listed my favorite release from each of the bands.
Let me know what you think.

Four Hundred Years and Navio Forge are both awesome bands. Still have so much more to check out. I've been playing the Navio Forge EP a lot the last couple of days.
have either of you heard End Of A Year? New(ish) Revelation band from Albany, NY. Got their name from the Embrace song and sound basically like Embrace/Rites of Spring part 2. Great band.
