In 1994 I booked a short weekend tour with the Yah Mos. Mark got them on a really great show with Jawbreaker in Northridge. We crashed at his place in Canoga Park after the show.

About an hour after we fell asleep, a huge earthquake hit, registering at 6.7. We were about 5 miles from the epicenter. His apartment was thrashed, broken glass and dishes everywhere. We went outside and everything was on fire.

Still a vivid memory. RIP.
