New stats: Distance between same name or album

Just for fun, I'd love to be keeping track of:

(1) The greatest distance between two bands or artists with the same name.

(2) The greatest distance from one side of a collaboration album to the other. (Call it the "Least Likely Collaborators" perhaps.)

I like the second one:

The path between Sara Beth and Frankie Miller contains 12 steps

After a fairly perfunctory search the longest I can find is 13 steps:
Swords (US) -> Swords (AU)

And I can find a bunch with 11 steps:
Clouds (US) -> Clouds (AU)
The Charlatans (UK) -> The Charlatans (US)
Them (UK) -> Them (US)

This link has shortened a bit since the last time I checked it, but it's still fairly long (14 steps) to get from The Catalyst to Mass Movement Of The Moth, who have a split LP/CD "Two Thousand And 666" with collaboration tracks on it.
