Shit, I swear that I was just doing something with a band that is closely linked to Rainer Maria. Can't even come close to remembering it now, though.

The Offspring would be easy if they could just stick with a permanent drummer. Atom Willard drummed for them two albums ago, but Josh Freese played on the whole record as a session musician. And now Pete Parada's playing with them, but again Freese drummed on the current album as a session musician.

If we counted session musicians on b2b there's barely a punk band alive that wouldn't connect to Josh Freese...

The Chad Mitchell Trio might be doable. Michael Johnson, who replaced the last original CMT member, had been in a group called The New Society with Randy Sparks (New Christy Minstrels). The New Society recorded one LP. I haven't been able to find anything on a lineup, so I'm not sure if Johnson was actually on it.

Not looking good on the New Society:

[www.spectropop.com] :

"The Barrock Sound Of The New Society" album lists all the info (and more!) that you could possibly wish to know about them.

Produced by Randy Sparks (New Christy Minstrels, Back Porch
Majority etc) who seems to have conceived the project. The
group members were: Carol Stromme 'Sally Sincere', Del Ramos
'Red Cloud' (brother of New Christy, Larry), Ted Anderson
'The Handsome Stranger', Gary Miller 'Crazy Gary Miller',
Carol Kimzey, Alan Parker & Larry Hickman 'Blue Eyes'.

Most of the LP arranged by Lincoln (Wonder Boy) Mayorga, with
Jack (Specs) Nitzsche on a couple and one by Mort (The Raging
Bull) Garson. The music? It's well-crafted 'Sunshine Pop', not
really my taste but…

Rainer Maria is now in the queue linked though Kyle's previous band Ezra Pound, at which time he was a bandmate with future Pele and Paris TX dude Matt Tennessen, who was already in the db.

Yay!

Kings Of Convenience have been in the queue for a while too - I've just vf-ed everything required to get them in.

Nice! Two of my favorites. I just worked on KOC and got them in, but I'm suspicious of the current easiest link to Refused and questioned it. I guess I need to pay more attention to the queue.
Refused!

Assuming everything holds, the Monks are finally connected. Bruce McCabe and Jim Novak (both of the Lamont Cranston Band) were in the Hoopsnakes with Steve York (in the database).
