On occasion it is necessary to go to the original source when looking for info on who played on what. However, I now know from first hand experience how unreliable memory can be. A friend and sometime collaborator has just sent me his latest CD on which I contribute a song as one of the bonus tracks. However, I can't even remember the session, let alone the collaborators on that track. So spare a thought for any of the poor performers racking their brains for the name of the second tympanist on the album released 45 years ago that *must* be accurately entered on b2b ...
