Quannum / Def Jux

I'm trying to find a way into these labels.

We already have DJ Shadow (Quannum) in the dB, but i can't link him to anyone.

I also have Murs (Def Jux) in the queue, but again, no luck with the linkage.

Any ideas?

I believe DJ Shadow was part of the Solesides Crew and Quannum Spectrum on a few tracks on the label's compilation albums. In these projects he collaborated with members of Blackalicious.

Yeah, i'm wondering about the inclusion of these loosely defined crews.

Quannum/Solesides, Anticon and 1200 Hobos all have releases as "bands" under their names. The membership seems to be whoever is in the studio at that time. This woud make for some great links, but they don't really seem like bands.

i managed to get some Quannum bands in (Latryx, Blackalicious) through the release of the Mighty Underdogs album.
should also be able to get in Jurassic 5 through Ozomatli if i could just pin down a lineup on their first album, which i'm sure included Chali 2na and maybe Cut Chemist.

I think both Chali 2Na and Cut Chemist were members for the first album, although their replacements were not on the second.
