pxw,
If you hadn't seen already, the OC Supertones can connect via Daniel Spencer/the Grown-Ups.

I added in a bunch more stuff to the Christian music scene tree, including 2 more Demon Hunter albums, Poor Old Lu, Training For Utopia, and Focal Point.

Okay so this is way later than July, but I have a good collection and interest in the SF East Bay Punk/Indie/PopPunk scenes. I've kind of focused on Labels and their releases like Lookout! & Adeline but I feel like I've barely made a dent.
Time constraints usually limit me when I hit a dead end with a band that I cannot find a current BtoB link, example: The Thumbs , lots of info on them but haven't found a connection to the database yet... still digging.

Hey kribbit -
I think you stopped contributing around the time i came on board. I think we probably know much of the same people from the late 80s East Bay scene, and may have met at some point. Welcome back.

scott - yep I've seen a lot of submissions off of some of the stuff I've done - I lived out there in the late 80s/early 90s and my brothers were way into the whole gilman scene, they were in a lot of the bands that are on b2b, so for me that whole scene is like doing family history :-) Ya know the world is a small place maybe we even know each other HAHA!

Who are your brothers?
edit: Just saw your comment on the Skinflutes entry. Tell Bill that Scott from Sacto says hello.

There IS a connection between (at least) one of the bands on this board and the Thumbs.
The Great Unraveling (from Baltimore, on Kill Rock Stars) had the same drummer (Randy Davis) as the Thumbs.
I just joined the site, and I've been having troubles adding albums, but just saw this thread and wanted to let you know.

Because I've been trying to get Beyond The Embrace into the tree tonight, I ran into the names of lots of bands in the Massachusetts hardcore scene that I know nothing about (not from there, don't listen to hardcore), but maybe one of the other folks here does.
Some band names:
Voices Forming Weapons
Roswell
Civil Defense
So Automatic
Before I Break
Slag Hammer
Leadsled
The Bash Brothers
Down But Not Out
Blown Away
Capture The Flag
Intent To Injure
Corrin
Sayonara
Emission
