What chance we could ever find out all the voices for this year's Children In Need release... what an add that would be...

[NOW EDITED TO REMOVE ACTORS WHO DON'T APPEAR IN THE DVD CREDITS]

This might just be possible you know - the Wikipedia page lists all the characters (I count 95 in total not including the incidental characters at the end - that's 40 more than Centipede!)and says "All characters are voiced by their original UK voice artists including Ringo Starr as Thomas the Tank Engine, The only exception being Scooby-Doo voiced by Frank Welker, as Don Messick passed away in 1997."
[en.wikipedia.org]

I won't make a proper entry for this just yet as the notes section would be a million miles long, but for the record here's the list of characters from that Wikipedia page along with a few of the voice artists I've identified and the source below:

As the dad of a two year old, I recognize far too many of these characters.

Also of interest:

I have entered a couple "Music Together" releases into the queue.

Crikey. Er, okay, yep, more work to be done here of course ... Be delightful to have Bernard Cribbins in. Might not have much time to work on it, I'll see how things go.
don't want to spoil the fun, but....

Isn't this entry in violation with Rule 7: To The Core?

Yes but let's keep revisting Rule 7 - common sense will prevail (as I see it) at some stage; and if not common sense then at least consistency. Search for 'All Stars' - do all these bands resolve to such large cores? We have bands in there where a magazine's readership effectively selected all participants independently of each other. What about Eric Clapton's Powerhouse project? What exactly constitutes a 'supergroup' according to that rule anyway? We try very hard to codify rationally and then we just lob a concept such as 'supergroup' into a rule? So there are different rules if each of the members has had a level (what level?) of success before the band is formed? Is Ric Grech no longer a member of Blind Faith because it was a supergroup and he was last man in? What about a band that carries one member's name? Why is that not 'resolved' to a core of one. 'Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow' couldn't scream much louder of one man's pre-eminence. What about 'And Band' or 'And His Band' - that's allowed - are these nameless band members really on an equal core footing as the main man?

No - it remains my view that Rule 7 is an anachronism designed purely to make links hard to generate.
