Bloopy, did you happen to catch Head South? I thought it was a great movie and its director should be connectable:

I hadn't heard of it, although I did notice his band YFC had a new recording or two a few years ago.
I don't keep up with much in the way of new movies, let alone NZ ones, but I really liked David Farrier's documentaries on crazy subjects (Tickled and Mister Organ). I also saw Swagger of Thieves, which is about [bandtoband.com] https://bandtoband.com/band/head-like-a-hole
If you can handle a cruddy self-made YouTube quality one, [bandtoband.com] https://bandtoband.com/band/cage-demise put out this documentary about themselves and it's pretty damn hilarious at times:

Most recently I watched some really out-there arty NZ films, namely Vigil and Angel Mine. This YouTube channel has been uploading a lot of obscure AU & NZ stuff:

I had heard of Tickled, quite a subject. And thanks for the tips, I'm going to check out the other ones.
