It's amazing. It's also amazing to me how many bands are not yet in the family tree.

13K bands came and went a few days ago.
Closing in on 30K albums and 35K artists...
(We're slowing down considerably, btw. It took us about 9 months, June '07 to March '08, to get from 10K to 12K bands. And in the 7 months since then we've only added another thousand.)

Yeah, I'm building a house; takes quite some time and doesn't leave much time to research bands :)
Hopefully it's all over early next year.

Now that's more like it... less than 4 months to get from 13K to 14K. (Averaging almost 9 new bands per day over that period, by my reckoning. But since Jan. 16 we've been doubling that rate!)

And with The Alpha Band, we're at 15,000! Congrats, everybody.
(Slowed down a bit from the pace of early '09... took 5 months to get from 14K to 15K.)

Looks like Mortification just became the 18,000th. Closer to 8 months than 7 for the last thousand.

I didn't even notice that when I made it live. I'm trying to make Into Eternity live because their singer will be on the next Iced Earth album. That should create a nice shortcut.
Edit: Into Eternity is live now and 11 steps apart from Iced Earth. It'll probably be the end of the year before that albums hits the stores though.

Paul Van Gysegem Sextet is number 19000.
Almost 11 months since 18000 bands. We're seriously slowing down.
