A couple of small mistakes

I've noticed two mistakes in the database. The band "Tribute" has a guy named "Gideon Andersso" in it. I assume this has to be Andersson with an 'n' at the end.

Also, Jan S. Eckert and Jan Soren Eckert are the same guy. He plays in Iron Savior and Masterplan.

And finally, I'm pretty sure it's Aliki Ashman, not Alika (Ginger Baker's Air Force). Just do a search on Google for both names and you'll see the difference.

And another one

Luther Grosvenor (Spooky Tooth) and Ariel Bender (Mott the Hoople) are the same person. Luther Grosvenor is is real name and he used Ariel Bender for leagal/contractula reasons originally.

Fixed, fixed, fixed, and fixed. Thanks for pointing out all of these. Somehow I didn't notice that you had pointed out the Alika/Aliki error before, Jan--sorry about that.

Thanks

I know I pointed out the Luther Grosvenor/Ariel Bender thing by email, but I thought that other people might not be aware of the fact that they were the same person which is why I posted it here.
Thanks for fixing little errors so quickly btw - we users are just as "anal" as you about things like that! ;)

And yes we know that it's impossible for you to know all about every band on the data base, so sometimes it's inevitable that these little errors will creep in.

Is there a reason you guys aren't listing Ken Mary on the Impellitteri - "Grin And Bear It" release? He played on 6 albums with them from 1992-1998, so I think he should definitely be considered a member:

The confusion happens because Ken Mary didn't TOUR with Impellitteri. However, in this interview:

Rob Rock claims it's because Ken "doesn't prefer to tour", so they found other drummers to tour with them. That wording suggests to me that Ken Mary was considered the "member" and Glen Sobel (for awhile) and others were considered fill-ins due to Ken's wish not to tour, as opposed to Ken being considered "a studio drummer but not a member of the band".

I was actually relying on this article, which says that he does "sessions" with the band:

I fixed the error. Thanks, as usual.

I see there's a musician cited as "Malcolm McFalane" - should that be "McFarlane"? I can't check directly as I don't have the LP to hand ...

You now have Impellitteri - "Grin And Bear It" listed as "0000". Should probably change that to 1992.

This link:

... appears to suggest that Dave Stewart was only a guest on Space Shanty by Khan. Fortunately you have a Steve Hillage link so it still links in to everything else.

KHAN - Space Shanty, 1972 (Deram) [CD: Mantra/Deram/Eclectic'04]
Steve Hillage (g/voc) - Nick Greenwood (b/voc) - Eric Peachey (d)
guest: Dave Stewart (o/p/celeste/marimba)

Absolutely right. Almost every site that talks about the band in any detail describes how the original keyboardist left right before they were supposed to record their album, so Hillage asked Stewart to sit in. After the album came out, they toured in support with a different keyboardist.

The album credits also make it clear that Stewart wasn't a band member:
