it looks like it maps back to any 'Ginger' - not the correct one.

That seems pretty logical to me. The algorithm apparently takes the first Ginger it encounters. That url doesn't specify which Ginger you're looking for so I don't see anything wrong with the current outcome. I suppose you'll have to take the real name of the artist you're looking for.

How is it logical to say that Ginger Tomaso played in The Wildhearts?

OK, I thought you meant that the link itself was wrong. I didn't notice it says "featured: Ginger Tomaso as Ginger"
