Searching on Matthew Cooper reveals the (UK) one on a queued release but not the (US) one:

[bandtoband.com] on
[bandtoband.com] (Inventions, s/t)

I'm thinking this may be because the Inventions release was previously orphaned/sandboxed. Now that it connects to the db via Mark Smith (US 5) on Explosions In The Sky releases, Smith appears in searches, though his member links for Inventions don't display in the EIST wiki entries.

As Bloopy points out, the non-display of sandboxed artists leads to various weird results (even apparently when they become unsandboxed?).

The problem with sandboxing and missing search results extends to band names, too. I had a sandboxed entry for Chain Reaction (UK), which didn't show up in searches until I added an unsandboxed entry for the band.

In Bloopy's comment in Complete Shambles linked above, he noted that sandboxed artists with suffixes still show up when you try to edit an artist with a different suffix. That's handy, but the trick doesn't work with band names -- there's no list of other suffixes when I go to edit, say, Chain Reaction (CA).

This week I've linked the sandoxed band Suburban Lawns to the queue and I vf'd the releases by that band, but it didn't unsandbox and it's still not searchable.

Re Suburban Lawns: You currently have to unsandbox entries manually -- they don't get automatically unsandboxed when they get connected to the db. I went ahead and unsandboxed the Suburban Lawns releases. (Before I did that, the band name didn't come up in searches, but searches on the band's members, e.g. William Ranson, worked.)

Also: If you enter a release where one of the band members appears in a sandboxed entry, the sandboxed one won't show up in the member links for the new release (unless you manually unsandbox the old one). But sandboxed entries show up in member searches, as noted. So when I entered East Of Venus, "Memory Box," I didn't know Michael Carlucci was already in the queue for a sandboxed Winter Hours release until I searched on his name. Then I manually unsandboxed that one to get the link to show up. Not ideal!
