Dates recorded / dates released

Often a recording is made many years before being released - and when it appears on the tree, it creates a misleading impression of chronological flow.

Would it be possible to add (particularly in cases of significant discrepancy) information about when a particular album (or worse, *part* of an album) is recorded? This may require the same album to appear more than once in a band / artist history, I appreciate - but then things like Soft Machine's "Jet Propelled Photographs" (to use an example) would not suggest that e.g. Daevid Allen was a later addition to the band in between him doing his multi-various Gong things.

Not to mention the Wilde Flowers ...

But we so rarely know that info for most of the bands on the site.

If we're going to add information, we should add information that we can add consistently for everyone. (Otherwise, the lack of "recorded date" info for most albums will make it appear they were recorded shortly before release, when really it means we don't know or haven't tried to find out.) This seems like an occasional, rather than "often", case, and one that will add review burden.
