Serious Blowup

Some things have gone seriously wrong in the last two days and a great deal of data was over-written. I've reverted to a two day old backup, before the errors started occuring, and am trying to figure out what went wrong where. Until then the whole system is offline to updates, corrections, etc. Man, this sucks.
