Database Change (again)

I've installed a more stable version of the database onto the server so hopefully the crippling slow downs will be a thing of the past. I had a bit of a tangle with foreign characters again but after numerous threats of raining irreparable physical damage down upon the server, it decided to start playing fair so everything looks clean. Once again, if things start bogging down, let me know.

So... any reason why the family trees and the "Create Map" functionality (except on the Forum pages...) is disabled? More DB issues?

Sadly I can't blame the database for the family trees, it's an entirely different issue regarding processing speed vs site traffic. I'm getting crushed on all sides right now in keeping the site running at a normal speed with the volume of data that it now has to handle.
